Aiming high - sometimes you actually make it

Aim High - Reach for the Stars - Seek Excellence ... These are nice phrases, but most times when we say them we do not really believe in them, or at least we do not believe we will be able to achieve it.

This week I actually proved myself wrong on this. I aimed high, and I actually achieved it.

I knew it was a high stake, low probability option. Analyzed the map and looked for the path that may help me achieve it. Zoned out the people and comments telling me this was a lost cause. Kept pushing, even at times when I thought all was lost. Persevered with a calm smile when waters were rough. And in the end I made it.

What makes it sweeter, I made it my way (as Franky said). Did not lie, shared my dream (even spread it), put all the cards on the table, and now I feel good and true on the outcome.

When you aim high you risk getting burned. When you dream big you will be disappointed sometimes.

But this time I reminded myself that you can also aim high and achieve it. Yes, there was some luck and some chance involved, but not only that.

We can aim high, because many times our starting point is not as low as what we tell ourselves...

In short: I made it, and it feels good!
