A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor.

How I hate the reality of some of these sayings, specially when they become personal.


I am trying to upgrade my personal skills, in this case my business skills, but the path is full of waves and uncertainty.


I need to trust people while at the same time keeping my skeptical and negotiating eye open - not because I do not trust them but because it is part of the skill they have and that I need to learn from them. And yes, I need to learn this "swimming lesson" while in the open waters and in the middle of a race...
